Wife started the House of Antiques in 1971 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In
1988 we started Antiques Etc. above the Italian Underground Restaurant in Glenwood Springs. In 1991 we started our second Antiques Etc. store here in New Castle, in 1994 we moved the Glenwood Store into the Antique Depot in Glenwood, then in 2001 we moved all to our New Castle Store. In 2003
we rented a space with Little Bear Antiques.
As of today we have our little shop in New Castle and still with Little Bear Antiques.
We joined the World Wide Web "www" and eBay in 1998 as
www.antiquesetc.net and aetc. on eBay (for eBay don't forget the dot
after the "c") Antiques Etc. is located at the Gateway to the Western Colorado Rocky Mountains along the Colorado River and I-70 off Exit 105 in historical downtown New Castle. 170 miles West of Denver, 75 miles East of
Grand Junction and about an hour drive to well renown Ski Resorts "Vail" or "Aspen". Fishing, Big Game Hunting, Jeeping and Skiing or just relaxing in the largest hot springs pool in the world are just a few things to do in our area.
The building we are located in downtown New Castle was built in 1890 of local stone and brick. It was the "Rock Saloon" and remains known today as the Rock Saloon building, also registered with the New Castle Historical Society. From 1928
to 1985 it was New Castle's US Post Office. We rented the back apartment in 1988 then in 1991 we acquired the commercial front and started our second Antiques Etc. store, which is now our main store. In 1996 we acquired the upstairs apartment and purchased the building in
2003. We remodeled the apartment above the store in 2007 and made it a Vacation Rental, which is fully furnished, you can rent it by the day, week or month. and named it "the Rock Saloon Apartment".

The Rock Saloon built in 1890. Antiques Etc. store provide a variety of Collectibles and Antiques from the mid 1800's through the late 1900's,
some furniture, lots of old toys, holiday and Christmas items, dolls, vintage jewelry, perfumes, linens and hats, and much more. We hope to keep adding to our website and update with a shopping cart soon. Antiques Etc. also has a space with Little Bears
